Story: Man is a being condemned to solitude, but this condemnation is only revealed in its fullness in the light of the knowledge of death. What we can do with this knowledge, what our freedom lies in, is perhaps the sharpest question we can ask ourselves. The Endgame shows us a few minutes of the last days of a couple's life together as they prepare for their final separation.
